CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Job Description:

Cable Pipe and Leak Detection, a company with a 47-year legacy of professionalism and superior customer service in the plumbing and utility locating industries, is seeking a dependable Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining our high standards of service, requiring a proactive approach, efficient time management, and close collaboration with the dispatch department.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Quickly and professionally greet customers, addressing their needs and informing them about our services. Process orders and handle both emergency and non-emergency calls with attention to detail.
  • Effective Communication: Utilize established communication scripts for consistency and professionalism. Communicate with customers and coworkers effectively through various platforms like Teams, Skype, email, and interoffice phone systems.
  • Data Handling: Accurately input information into the CPL computer system and navigate Field Service Management Software. Consistently and accurately record customer information, minimizing errors.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dispatch department and other team members, adhering to CPL’s core values and maintaining a professional demeanor.

 

Qualifications:

  • Professional, clear, and concise communication skills.

  • High school diploma, with the ability to type 30+ words per minute.

  • Familiarity with office phone systems and Microsoft Outlook.

  • Strong listening skills, multitasking ability, and a strong work ethic.

  • Relevant experience in plumbing, utility locating, HVAC, or similar service fields preferred.

  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish highly desired.

 

Training and Development:

  • Participate in our established training and development process, aimed at enhancing your career and leadership potential.

  • Monday to Friday schedule during training, with potential weekend work post-training.

  • Inclusion in the on-call after-hours service rotation is required by all CSR’s. This service is performed remotely.
